Genus:  Alauda Arvensis

Size:  18cm
 
Notes:  An introduced bird seen on the edges of forests in the air. It has an undulating flight but often drops with its wings closed. It has a short crest and a long hind claw and is often seen taking dust baths on fire breaks and forest roads.
