Genus: Acanthoxyla Prasina
Size: 7.5 - 15cm
Notes: Several native species which are all wingless. They live on trees feeding on tender shoots and leaves but if startled, freeze and remain still for considerable lengths of time. They come in a variety of colours from green to brown.
